Gloria Fox

An interview with Gloria Fox (1942-), a Massachusetts State Representative. Fox grew up in foster care and lived in homes scattered throughout Greater Boston. As a single mother raising two sons, she settled in Roxbury and began volunteering as an organizer for community groups, like the Model Neighborhood Board, that fought to make minority voices heard in urban renewal projects. Fox describes her journey from community organizing to the Massachusetts House of Representatives. This interview was collected as part of Northeastern University's Lower Roxbury Black History Project (2007-2009). Finding aid: http://www.library.neu.edu/archives/collect/findaids/m165find.htm
