Abstract/Description
A photograph of the Boston Parks Department's Playground Directors of 1934. John A. Shelburne is the ninth individual from the left in the 2rd row. Shelburne served as the Youth Director of the Robert Gould Shaw House, a settlement house and community center in Lower Roxbury, Massachusetts. Shelburne also served as the Camp Director of the Breezy Meadows Camp, a summer camp for inner-city children from the Greater Boston area.
