Abstract/Description
An interview with Osceola Brown Nathan (1914-), who moved to Lower Roxbury from Newport News, Virginia when she was eleven years old. Nathan recalls her earliest childhood memories, including her time in school, family life, and the layout of the neighborhood surrounding her home on Hammond Street. Nathan also talks about her early working experiences as a maid at the Abbotsford Hotel. This interview was collected as part of Northeastern University's Lower Roxbury Black History Project (2007-2009).
