Abstract/Description
The Fortieth Anniversary annual report of the Robert Gould Shaw House settlement and community center, which provided important educational and recreational programs for the surrounding neighborhood of Lower Roxbury, highlights the organization's successful programs and future plans. Morris R. Taylor, Headworker, calls for increased social education and action and funds to locate a new building with a gymnasium, library, swimming pool, and quarters for residents. The program includes photographs of the center's members and workers.
